United International University envisioned the importance of institutional and international collaboration for excellence in research and established the Institute for Advanced Research (IAR) in 2019.
IAR acts as a central body to manage, coordinate, and fund research activities across all departments. We bridge the gap between academia and industry by financing multidisciplinary projects.

The Institute for Advanced Research (IAR) at United International University was established in 2019 with a vision to create a sustainable research ecosystem. We believe that the ranking of a university is primarily judged by its research activities and their outcomes.
IAR substantially finances multidisciplinary research projects and has spent more than 3.5 Crore BDT since its inception on direct grants alone. From 2020 onwards, UIU has collaborated with other National and International organizations to expedite jointly funded grants.
